It’s an “old site”, circa 2005, and I believe it is the only thing is “old” about it.
This is another amazing work from Yugo Nakamura and his crew at Tha Ltd. And please, spend some time exploring this amazing online experience. Amazing sound/flash engineering.
Here is a little blurb off his blog about it:
“We made an experimental voice-blog system for a radio program broadcasted by TokyoFM.
This is a kind of enhanced podcasting site. All entries are provided by text and voice-sound data, which are played with synchronized motion. Posted sound data is analyzed in the server and it’s volume history is visualized to Avatar’s motion. User can throw their comments on each entry, then computer voice is generated on server-side text-to-speech system.
I’m sorry that all language is japanese, you will not able to know what they are speaking. But at least I hope you will know particular atmosphere of this communication system.”

I like how the 'playhead' advances through the blog as the speaker is talking and especially the speech bubbles that pop-up.Odysseas
