We love to see design working for social change, so we wanted to highlight this site: Photographer James Nachtwey is working to spread the word about a deadly, drug-resistant form of TB. Good work.
Spread the word.
More about it in this TED talk.

Here’s a press release we’ve unleashed on the work we’re doing with Seattle Children’s Hospital:
Digital agency, Odopod, will create a new website for Seattle Children’s, which recently unveiled a new brand identity to be implemented in coming months. The Odopod designed website will launch in early 2009, completing the re-branding effort for the highly regarded children’s hospital.
Odopod was chosen as the hospital’s digital partner after a competitive pitch for the website design. Chris Tobey, Children’s Creative Services Director, says, “After a review of world-class firms, Odopod stood out for the remarkable thoughtfulness and conceptual talent that fuels everything they do creatively.”
Tobey continues, “They have shown a deep sensitivity to the important mission of Seattle Children’s and the complex demands of our site visitors – our patients and their families, medical staff and referring physicians, donors, media, and the community.”
The new site will aim to express the values and brand of Seattle Children’s through an elegant organization of online services and information. Equally important will be the tone, simplicity and clarity of its design to ensure ease of use for all audiences.
“For this project, the Web’s reach is especially enabling. We can guide families as they prepare for a difficult situation by offering important information and connecting them with people in similar situations. It’s a genuinely worthwhile use of the Web, and gives our work another dimension,” says Jacquie Moss, managing partner at Odopod.
Awesome!

We’ve been spending some time working on improving one of our favorite internal projects, the Odopod Sketch Application.
In the improvement process, we were thrilled to uncover some amazing work from those of you illustrating with the tool. Take a look! It’s also worth visiting each individual sketch and watching as the illustrations unfold before your eyes.
We are continuing to evolve the app so please, continue to create your own work, browse the growing database of sketches, and watch for updates in the future.
